Living Waters

“He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.'”John 7:38

Holy Ghost recently reminded me of this scripture. When this verse came to my remembrance, I chose to put it before my face and allow the Father to speak.

To believe is to accept an invitation and to step into a trust, to rely upon Yahweh God, and to demonstrate faith. The invitation is to partake and to abide in faith that causes us to abandon self and to receive the full anointing of His word and power. The living water that will flow is eternal and will never run dry. It will come from the deepest parts, from deep within. It is living because the source is the One who is eternal and has offered eternal life to you and me, if we believe.

In Ezekiel 47, Ezekiel has a vision and sees water flowing from under the doors of the temple and from every gate; then the man guided Ezekiel, measure by measure through the waters until it was so deep that it could not be crossed on foot. The waters of the river go everywhere, and healing follows, everything is living, what is stagnant becomes fresh, and life is abundant. This living water is the same within us, flowing from us, overflowing from within us, His temple.

John 7:8 says it will flow from our “innermost being”, (some versions say it flows from our belly, or our heart.) These words are chosen because they represent the deepest places in us. It is telling us, that if we accept the invitation to believe, to trust in Him, and to operate in a faith so great that we abandon self, the living water of our everlasting God will flow from the depths of who we are. It will flow “continually”, without ceasing, never-ending! It will be so great that it will not only flow, but overflow the gates of this temple, and every place we go, the river goes, and it will bring healing, joy, and peace.

Today, receive the invitation, come and drink, and receive the word released- partake! Pass through the shallow into the deep, exercise faith that abandons self, pass from the shallow to the deep, from the temporal to the eternal. Let the living water flow from the depths of your heart, your innermost being, until it pours out of the temple doors and flows from every gate. Believe the Father’s word, in the full and complete measure.
