Imitation

The Rock of Central Florida   -

Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. 1 Cor. 1:11

I’ve been doing a lot of imitating for the past few weeks, not necessarily from righteous  people, but from Holy Spirit working through a righteous place. Sometimes, Yahweh allows something He’s working in you, to be accomplished through an unexpected source. Not all of our instruction in walking in the Kingdom will come from another brother in Christ, but He will use that person to get you to a specific place YOU need to be. All the while, we need to keep in mind that The Father is drawing the one you are imitating to Himself as well.
Once Holy Spirit has brought you to completion of this imitating place, you will realize you are no longer imitating anyone, but have learned to walk as Christ meant for you. For many believers this is a hard thing to grasp, thinking that you can only receive Godly wisdom and knowledge from righteous people. Not everyone’s boss at work was or is a believer! That certainly was true for me most of my working life. They had standards and rules for the company, which as an employee you were required to follow. These methods, without asking you to compromise or sin allowed Kingdom principles to work in you and through you.
Today, look around you and see who you might have to imitate to learn something. Then, realize the end result will be Kingdom growth in you, and by your righteous response to the training, could produce the opportunity for the instructor to come to know Christ.
