Now Faith Revisited

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1Several of my views were deepened after Sunday’s message titled, “To Be His—Olam.” It was explained that Olam is a Hebrew word that means from infinity (beyond what you can see) to infinity (beyond what you can see). Olam is who Yahweh is by man’s linear understanding. But in truth, it is a kind of parable to help us to understand that Yahweh is everlasting, always existing, never past or to come, but He is an ever-present God. Revelation 22:13 declares, “I am the alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” Simultaneously! Ok, how does this tie in with Now Faith? First, I will define the word faith as it is meant in Hebrews 11:1. The word faith is Hupostasis. Which the Strong’s Concordance #5287 defines, –to place or set under. In general, that which underlies the apparent, hence, reality, essence, substance; that which is the basis of something, hence, assurance guarantee, confidence. Secondly you must believe that Now Faith removes the restriction of time and redefines it. Now faith does not define the past, present and future, in same traditional manner. The past is what is to come. The present is the time of preparation for the past (the what is to come). And the future is the substance and evidence of that which is to come (the past) which has been given by Yahweh. So, the future has to be seen as Yahweh’s guaranteed word to us. The present is our time to prepare for what has already been given to us, by Yahweh. And the past is the manifestation of that which has already been given and what we have prepared for. Selah!
