My Soul Follows You

The Rock of Central Florida   -

“My soul follows hard after You: Your right hand upholds me.” Psalm 63:8

Depending on what version of the bible you read, in this particular verse you can find the word follows exchanged for pursue, clings to, or stays close to. In this scripture all of these words describe a part of David’s posture well…. that David was a man after Yahweh’s heart, and Yahweh was a faithful Father to David and a place of authority in David’s life. The spirit of David is quite evident in the words of Psalm 63:8.

All of these words: pursue, cling to, follow hard after, stay close to are accurate and applicable to your journey at a given time. That our very soul, our life, our self, our being pursues and stays close to the Father. That in the deepest parts of who we are we follow hard after Him. This means in all our ways acknowledge Him, seek His ways, and search out the depths of Yahweh God. In every season or time, we look for Him, in every mountain top and every valley, and on every path and through every door. In following after Him there is no confusion and it is a sure path of righteousness. When we do, we are given a promise that David illuminated in this Psalm. His right hand will uphold us!

The Father’s right hand is a glorious place of strength and power. It represents a victorious space and is righteous. All through scripture from the First Testament to the Second Testament the right hand is referenced as a place of authority. It is even a place of honor and glory as a seat for Yahshua the Christ. His right hand is a place of safety and absolute assuredness to mature alignment.

In this verse is a depth of wisdom. I encourage you today- study it. Look into it. What mysteries is Holy Ghost showing you in these words? Seek, pursue, and follow hard after the Father. In every day and every moment. Trust that when you do His right hand will hold and guide you from glory to glory and victory to victory.
