Believe
“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16
As we come into the holiday season, I am reminded of Yahweh God’s plan for the salvation of His people. Possibly, one of the most well-known verses in the bible and a reminder of His beautiful redemption for mankind so that we may have a personal relationship with Him. It tells us that God loved the world, prized and treasured us so very much that He sent His Son and any person that believes in Him would have eternal life. This is a promise that many learn as a young child or when they first become believers. The depth of this is so vast.
The Father sent His son so that there would be many sons. We were sent by Him, and we are of Him. When we believe (place confidence in) in His son the Christ the promise is eternal and everlasting. That life begins the moment we believe, place our confidence in, trust and have faith in the one whom was sent. It doesn’t begin later, tomorrow, or next week. It begins the moment you place your trust in the one He sent for you. The moment you position yourself in Christ, you live…. IN Him, and it is a daily choice, not a one-time occurrence.
My encouragement is this, remember. We live a life full of abundance and goodness when we put our full trust, our confidence in Him. It begins today, the moment you believe in Him as the Savior and it continues every day thereafter with one choice after another. We live a life of eternal goodness when we trust in Yahshua the Christ, and the one who sent Him, Yahweh God. We are living an everlasting life- right now, when we believe.
