A Timely Word
A person finds joy in giving an apt reply—and how good is a timely word!Proverbs 15:23
Isn’t it wonderful when something is right on time? Have you ever had a need met in a perfect way, or have you been able to give to another in an impactful way? This verse encourages us that when we have a discerning voice, when we are sensitive to a moment and speak from Heaven’s perspective, there is joy!
An apt reply isn’t just empty talk, or imposing what we might think is good. It’s something that is truly appropriate and meaningful. When we’re in tune with The Spirit, we’re more able to notice our assignments and share wisdom. Letting truth flow isn’t only helpful to the hearer, but it brings joy to the giver.
A timely word can be a lifeline. It’s a treasure trove of possibility! Not all truths are easy to receive, but if we can listen well, we will find they are good indeed.
