Salvation The Gift

The Rock of Central Florida   -

Ephesians 2:8-9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

We cannot earn salvation. We cannot study hard and then pass the test of salvation. A simple lesson, but one that I believe is often forgotten in the modern church. You look around and see people striving to be “good enough” or to be a better “Christian,” and Yahweh is standing there waiting for these people to realize that salvation is a gift. It is freely given and can be freely received and does not require the work of your hand.
Does this mean that works are bad or not necessary? Absolutely not! Remember, salvation is a door but once we enter that door, we can go to work and accomplish our purpose. You don’t want to get stuck in a loop and never move on to the next that He has for you.

Start your day by being thankful for your salvation by grace. Be thankful for this gift made available through Jesus, but also be grateful for what comes after the gift. Go through the door and into your purpose!
