The Creative Mind of Sons
Exodus 35:31-32
“And he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze….”
Yahweh has given each of us talents and gifts to be used for His glory. This past weekend, I believe an excellent example of these gifts was put on full display with the production of Tavon Wickerwhistle and his Infectious and Avian Orchestra. For those of you who may be unaware, this was an original musical written by two sons in the house and performed by the Rock Academy theatre students.
Here’s the awesome part. It was really good, and everyone can be very proud of what was accomplished. Something else it showed was that Yahweh loves our creative expression. We are not confined to how many times we can say “Jesus” in our worship. Sometimes our worship looks like a story written about mythical creatures and fantastic places. I hope this makes sense, but I want to encourage you today to begin to reveal the creativity Yahweh has placed in you. The world needs to see it. Don’t be afraid of what the “church” thinks. Simply listen to Yahweh’s voice, and He will give you guidance on what you should do.
Fear has held many people back from accomplishing their purpose. Yahweh wants us to co-create with Him and bring glory to His name with our imagination and expression. Start your day and make something great!
