Two Are Better Than One

Ecclesiastes 4:10

“For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!”

As we were taught on Sunday, it is better for us to not be alone, and we should always have someone there to have our back. I had a friend a long time ago who became convinced that he could stay at home and commune with Yahweh on his own. He did not feel it was necessary to come to church and commune with fellow believers. Although the words he was saying seemed to have reason in them, something was not right. This is not the way Yahweh intended.

Don’t be the person who says they can “go it alone.” As the above passage states, when you fall, it is better to have your brother or sister there to pick you up. Don’t forsake fellowship with your spiritual family. We need each other. Yahweh speaks to us directly, and He speaks through those around us. As you start your day, consider the company you keep and make sure you are surrounded by righteous people of the same spirit. This bond will sustain you in tough times and elevate you that much more in good times. Don’t do it alone!
